Nachdem ich mich bei "Somewhere ohne Kompass" bereits einem Song vom aktuellen Prinz Pi Album "Kompass ohne Norden" gewidmet habe, war es nun an der Zeit "Moderne Zeiten" in den Mixer zu werfen. Mein Ziel war es die Identität des Songs aggressiver und progressiver zu gestalten. Als Kontrapart habe ich zudem einige Popikonen unserer Zeit vermixt.

In "No Whatever" konzentriere ich mich auf das Instrumental von "Whatever", während "D.veloped Whatever" die Cro Vocals verballert.
Das Mashup basiert auf "The Epic Rhythm" von D.veloped in einem Recut Stilller Style ;)

Letzte Woche durfte ich mir die Bühne mit Prinz Pi, Max Herre und Marteria auf dem Hessentag ( YOU FM Night) in Kassel teilen.
So ist dieses Mashup entstanden, was die alle Künstler des Abends mit "Rosana" von Wax vereint. Es gab einige Anfragen, ob ich es nicht posten könne....Download coming soon und ja: Max kommt hier zu kurz! ;)

Wenn du den letzten Post gelesen hast, dann kennst du schon mein erstes "Wake me up" Mashup.
In diesem Mashup vermashe ich "Wake me up" von Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc mit "Contact" von Daft Punk.
Ich war der Meinug, dass "Wake me up" mehr eskalieren sollte. Die Drums von "Contact" mit dem epischen Endteil, schien mir dafür der perfekte Match.
Beide Songs interessanterweise im Original gleich schnell und im gleichen Key (Grundharmonie).

Als ich zum ersten Mal "Wake me up" von Avicii feat. Aloe Blacc gehört habe, hatte ich schon beim Intro "Save tonight" von Eagle Eye Cherry.
Ich kriege diese Ideen dann erst wieder aus dem Kopf, wenn ich sie umsetze.

In den letzten Wochen gab es keine neue Mashup Release, weil ich wieder ziemlich intensiv auf Tour war.
Es war verdammt anstrengend, hat aber großen Spaß gemacht.
Die Zeit Backstage und im Flugzeug habe ich mit der Produktion vieler Demos verbracht.
Diese Demos finalisiere ich gerade, so dass ich sie euch bald zur Verfügung stellen kann.
Der Festivalsommer hat im Übrigen gerade erst angefangen:

Vor einigen Wochen habe ich mich auf Einladung der FDP-Fraktion am "Welttag des Urheberechts" nach Berlin in den Bundestag begeben, um mich dort an der Diskussion zum Thema Urheberrecht zu beteiligen.
Gideon Gottfried vom Musikmarkt hat einausführliches Interview mit mir über meine Erfahrungen im Bundestag geführt.
Es ging mitunter um die Frage, ob es ein "Recht auf Remix" geben sollte. Was ist deine Meinung dazu?
Wenn du der Meinung bist, dass es legal sein sollte Remixe und Mashups produzieren und diese kostenlos ins Internet stellen zu dürfen, dann würde ich dich jetzt um zwei Minuten deiner Zeit und um deinen Lieblings-Remix bitten!
Gehe einfach auf RechtaufRemix.org und unterzeichne dort die Petition für ein Recht auf Remix.
Du kannst zudem dein Lieblingsremix posten, der damit automatisch eine Stimme für den Remix-Award erhält.
Auf dem RechtaufRemix.org Blog findest du außerdem ein Interview mit mir über das gesamte Thema und im Remix Manifest erhälst du mehr Informationen über die Ziele der Petition!

Prinz Pi räumt gerade mit seinem neuen Album "Kompass ohne Norden" alles ab und das zu Recht!
Gelungen Texte und eine perfekt produzierte Instrumentalisierung lassen das Album aus der Masse herausstechen!
Die Single "Kompass ohne Norden" hat mich zu meinem Mashup "Somewhere ohne Norden" inspiriert und beruht in weiten Teilen auf dem Instrumental.

"This is love" is mein neues Multi-Mashup und versammelt eine Menge Popartists, um gemeinsam Phrasen über die Liebe zu dreschen und dabei abzugehen. Ich habe diese Phrasen in einen neuen Kontext gestellt. Das Ergebnis ist tanzbar und kann sogar zum Nachdenken anregen, aber dafür müsst ihr genau hinhören!
